Mayor's Corner

February is a busy time filled with groundhogs seeing their shadows and boxes of heart-shaped candies being given as gifts. February is also a busy time for our City departments! The Street department will continue to fight any snow that may fall from the sky, while our Parks department prepares for the upcoming softball and baseball seasons.  The Water and Communications Departments are preparing two new individuals to begin their public service positions. The Wastewater department has received numerous high marks for their plant operations and the Stormwater Utility continues to clean out stormwater catch basins.

The Police department has undergone some slight changes to policies and procedures. They also have the new detectives on board. Detectives Stephenson and Archbold are preparing for the training that is needed in their new positions. The Fire department has been busy lately with 72 different runs since the beginning of the year.

No matter what Indiana weather throws at us, you can be assured that our city departments are prepped and ready to serve the community!
