Welcome!
Summer
break is almost over and our children will be back
in school before we know it. I hope everyone is
enjoying their summer, whether you are a student on
break or an adult enjoying the beautiful weather.
The
first day of school is August 12th for
students. Also in August, Morsches Park will host
its annual Mihsihkinaahkwa Pow Wow from August
8-10. This is a unique tradition for our community
that is really exciting. It allows Native Americans
to come together, here in Whitley County, to honor
and share some of their traditions. It is
significant to our community because it is the Miami
Territory where Little Turtle was born.
Columbia City is a friendly community that has many
rich traditions. Enjoy the rest of summer and come
out to see why so many people are proud to call
Columbia City their hometown.
